HappyThanksgiving from Djibouti

Hello everybody! I just wanted to take a few moments to wish all of you a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Thank you all for your support! Since I cannot be with all of you on this special day, I hope that you all realize how much I miss you and I am thinking of you all everyday. I am truly a lucky man to have the life that I have, and could not do what I do with out the support of my wife, Stacey, (hi Honey!) and my family. I have so much to be thankful for, it would be hard to find the words to express it in a truly heartfelt way with out my words coming out like a bad hallmark card.
Have a Happy, blessed Thanksgiving, everyone of you.

Cheers to you all!!

Al

Hey Al. I have to say your wife out did herself this Thanksgiving. Everything was yummy and the company was great but it wasn't the same without you. I hope next year we will be giving thanks together.

Hugs,
Your crazy soldier supporter

Ahhhh, for the good old days of powered eggs, kool-aid, and turkey shaped spam. That's the way it was when I spent Thanksgiving deployed in the Army. I really wish I were back in the Army now eating the same old freeze dried foods. Instead, I had to have moist white-meat turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and home made cranberrys. It was topped off with pumpkin pie and cheesecake. I hated it. I guess that's the problem with getting old; no adventure.
Sure envy you and cardboard food.

From FL with the diverse family. Mother, step father, brother and family...his daughter's in laws and my son and his crew...whew. There was a total of 17... I have to say that the saving grace was the number of bottles of cold duck that my brother managed to have on hand.
We had a 3 year old to an 83 year old with enough food to feed the Army - too bad you were not there. We were truly thankful for the ability to all be there with the exception of 2 daughters, mine and David's. We had you and the rest of the crew in our thoughts also.
Yesterday I celebrated another birthday - no we do not count them anymore just celebrate that we actually were able to have another. So it was a really special holiday weekend for us.
SO a big take care and many good thoughts go your way as we near the end of another month...

Hi Al,
How are you? Sorry its taking me a long time to write. Stacey recently told me how to use this. I'm a bit slow:-). You look great in all the pictures. I hope your doing well and having some fun. Looks like your doing some drinking!!!:-). I just returned back from Germany. I went over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a nice trip. Visited Munich, Nuremburg, and Rothenburg. Beautiful Cities. I haven't been running at all! I actually walk on the trail a lot with Maggie and then hit the gym. Stacey has been doing great with the bike riding. I would like to start that next Spring. Need to purchase a bike. When you come back I'd like to have you and Stacey over for a bque. Well, I promise to write more often. Stay well!

Renee
